As many people I read about I started running as a 4. A weight loss runner. I was very overweight and I was having issues chasing my crawling child around my house without sucking wind.
I did the typical couch to 5k that most new and overweight runners start with. I then moved on to the 10k's, half marathons and then the full marathons. I haven't ventured into ultra but that could be next.
The reason I call myself the smiling runner is because when I race and when I run it is always with a smile on my face. My journey is not extraordinary but it is mine and I want to share it in upcoming posts.
